The Analysis of Financial Condition of Healthcare Sector

Summary/Abstract: The aim of the article is to present the results of an analysis of the financial condition of the health sector with the use of the selected economic indicators in the years 2010–2014. The research was carried out on medical entities listed on the Warsaw Stock Exchange. The article presents research methods used in the analysis of the financial condition of medical entities and presents the results of research of synthetic evaluation of effectiveness, i.e., profitability, debt level, liquidity and turnover. The analysis presented in the article allowed to conclude that the entities making up the health care sector require restructuring to improve their financial situation.
