Summary/Abstract: The paper is a brief analysis of the connection between storytelling, the development of technology and video games. The questions asked behind the study are: What is the influence of technological advancements on narratives? What are the new elements which appear in stories of video games? What has been the evolution of storytelling in the field of electronic entertainment? What is the impact of a game genre on video game narratives? What are characteristics of genres which manifest the greatest degree of influence on the in‐game storytelling?
