Summary/Abstract: “The Earth is long, but also wide” and has a whole world of prices “molded” on its shape. This world has a powerful influence on our life, hence the special interest in knowing and controlling the mechanisms that lay at the basis of its organization and functioning. In spite of this interest, the results obtain in this field are far beyond expectations. The real processes of price formation and modification are full of traps, the interests of trade participants are different, and some of the theoretical approaches are contradictory. Knowing the present, but more importantly, the future complexity and dynamics of prices, implies a broader interdisciplinary study of the environment in which they appear and evolve, then the introduction of the results obtained in a judgment capable to grasp new facts and ideas of life along the way. As a step in this direction, our study offers to the interested, but also less-informed reader a brief literary, graphical, algebraic and numerical approach on the world of prices, without too many “masks” covering it in an esthetical and ethical manner. In the few following pages, we start from the man, as a bearer of needs and receiver of goods; we continue with an apparently common description of production process of goods, which can be easily generalized and abstracted; we get to prices and merchandises; we offer a general model of the world of total prices and another one (this time in two versions, equivalents) of the world of unit prices; we make a hypothetic numerical price simulation, and at the end we identify the connection that appears during their formation process through inclusion.
