Summary/Abstract: Man has become and it is what it is through the useful results of his actions, and the quantity and quality of these results is a measure of the human individual and social development, measure which is called product, in the absence of another term, less contestable. There are domestic products or external products, depending on the territory of origin of its authors. Instead of results, in the current understanding of this term – effect of a cause, in the notion of product – generally domestic and especially external – many persons include, when they speak about services, their cause, often called production. After a short attempt to make a distinction between the semantic roles of these terms – product, services and production – we return to the uses of the language in what concerns the notion of product, uses which we cannot ignore, and we demonstrate that not only it, but also the notions of domestic and internal products allow the adding of epithets such as : net, gross and global and the acquisition, in this manner, of a system of indicators which, through their level and structure (described in a synoptic table) allow, if calculated, a better characterization of the richness of citizens in every territory (village, town, city, county, region, country, community of states, continent, etc.) not only in some territories (done until now).
