Summary/Abstract: The attractiveness of the territory is a multifaceted concept that has resulted since more than 40 years in numerous works. At the same time, the notion of sustainable development also made the subject of many publications. It is interesting to compare these two notions in trying to measure through the use of a synthetic indicator of sustainable attractiveness applied to a territory in Europe, referred to as ISADALE. The purpose of this paper will seek to clarify first the concept of attractiveness of a territory, highlighting in a second time, a methodology of calculation of a synthetic indicator which can be declined at a local level within the European Union and everywhere in the World.
