Categories of workers subject to the transfer of undertaking in the light of the case-law of the Court of Justice of the European Union

Summary/Abstract: This study aims to provide an overview of regulations adopted at EU level regarding the protection of employees’ in the event of transfer of undertakings. Particularly, my analysis focuses on identifying the groups of workers entitled to benefit from the protective measures regulated by Directive 2001/23/EC on the approximation of the laws of the Member States relating to the safeguarding of employees' rights in the event of transfers of undertakings, businesses or parts of undertakings or businesses.
