Conditions for sustainable development on the Sudeten border mountain region

Summary/Abstract: Responding to a question posed in the title of the research paper, the differences in the spatial distribution of tourist accommodation are analyzed and administrative units which are characterized by large capacity are selected. Using the example of the community of Karpacz, the effects of the concentration of tourist traffic on the economy and the natural environment are demonstrated. These considerations are preceded by a brief description of Sudeten border region.
