Determinants for the development of enterprises in rural areas of Świętokrzyskie voivodeship based on survey research

Summary/Abstract: The article presents the determinants of entrepreneurship development in rural areas of Świętokrzyskie voivodeship based on survey research. Based on an interview questionnaire with rural entrepreneurs, research material was obtained to determine the motives for starting a business and the benefits of running it. The results of the study showed the main drivers of entrepreneurship in rural areas of the region. Moreover, the strengths and weaknesses of the surveyed enterprises and the opinions of respondents on opportunities and threats of entrepreneurship development in the rural areas of Świętokrzyskie voivodship were presented. The survey covered 100 individuals registered in the REGON system conducting business activity in the rural areas of the region. The study was conducted in May 2016.
