Summary/Abstract: A QR code is a common name of a two-dimension code that allows storing more information than a traditional barcode. They are used as a kind of bridge between the real world and the virtual, fast forwarding user's smartphone or another mobile device to selected online content. The aim of the paper is to present the essence of QR codes and how they are used by individual customers. The paper presents a fragment of the larger research of the author as well as relations to the results of other research in the area from different countries.
