Summary/Abstract: The author of this paper is engaged in correct understanding of special aspect of popular literature in the setting of national literature. He supports the view that history of national literature can not be written without corresponding inclusion of popular/folk literature within it as an authentic art of the word. In this case it is ascertained that folk literature has pre-established written literature not only in the frame of its geneses, but also in subsequent periods of literature formations – esthetic and stylistic, especially during the period of romanticism, when a great number of Albanian writers based their books in tradition of folk compositions. He thinks it is correct and scientifically reasonable to be generally included mythological-fairytale structures of prose, songs of heroic frontier cycle, ballads, styles of authentic folk lyrics, then historical songs, mediaeval songs of Arbëreshs in Italy, those which artistically present the events from the periods of Albanian great Pasha rulings until the time of Proclamation of Independence in 1912, since as such, with their characteristic markers, are constitutive parts of Albanian romanticism in general terms as a literary orientation, represented within literature of Albanian National Renaissance. According to the opinion of this author, inclusion of popular literature within the history of national literature does not close the way to special studies of folklore, it doesn’t narrow the field study of folkloristic, since it should always be kept in mind that popular literature represents only one of the components in the folkloric structure, which as an independent should be studied in a special way within its totality.
