Global and local logistics strategies in international supply chains

Summary/Abstract: The main aim of the paper is the identification of the opportunities and threats related to the coherence of the aims, methods and tools of global and local logistics strategies as well as the necessity of balance between the integration of the international supply chain and the adjustment of its links to local market circumstances. In the process of identification of a global supply chain development challenges the traditional strategic analyses of organization and its environment can be utilized. The diversity of a local logistics strategy conditions in B2C dispersed sectors has been presented based on the annual research report on e-commerce in Europe 2016. In order to present the management problems with a global integration and local adjustment in international supply chain logistics strategy in B2B sector the case study of KGHM Polska Miedź capital group has been described.
