Summary/Abstract: Completing the principles of social responsibility through philanthropy is an important and effective method of shaping the new value of social product. There are no reasons nowadays, to thing about advantages of CSR concept and think whether the company should consider social goals. The purpose of business is therefore the choice of form, manner and extent of social tasks. Achieving social objectives should reinforce the company's business results. The paper presents characteristics of corporate philanthropy as an effective method of social commitment of companies while improving the competitive context. Experience shows that the creation of corporate foundations can solve this dilemma.
