Summary/Abstract: The aim of article is the identification of factors influencing the households’ willingness to install RES, and the estimate of this willingness. Basing on results of the survey research into households, which was done within the project called “Modelling prosumers’ behaviour on the energy market” we defined household segments according to their acceptance to the RES installations. We defined and calculated the index of households’ willingness to install RES as multiplication of the number of households having RES and the probability to become a prosumer. The probability coefficient was estimated on the base of the survey results. The most important factor influencing the installation of RES are: the flat area, the expenditure on electricity, the size of family, and the respondents’ sex. The greatest willingness to install RES is shown by: male, people aged 30–49; 4-people households; and by the households that expenditures on electricity is ranged 100–200 zlotys.
