Summary/Abstract: In the article the concept of resentment of the German phenomenologist Scheler is considered. As a rule, this concept is not regarded as a fundamental notion of Scheler's philosophy and ethics. Nevertheless, the philosopher makes a lot of play about resentment in the axiological orientation of the person and in society. This fact makes us reconsider the mentioned attitude. Scheler borrows the notion from Nietzsche and modifies it significantly by means of phenomenological ethics. He treats resentment as the person, society and culture poisoning factor. The phenomenological, sociological and religious aspects of resentment are considered in the article. Its author comes to the conclusion that Scheler proposes the "ordo amoris", based on irrational faith, as the way out of resentment.
