Summary/Abstract: In the article the unconditionally rigorist Kant's ethics are discussed. It is shown that his autonomous ethics of the categorical imperative is rooted in the main premises of modern rationalist philosophy and is unable to liberate itself. The formalism of these ethics allows us to draw the conclusion that these theoretically pure ethics do not take into account human nature, and therefore appear ineffective or even harmful in practice.
