Summary/Abstract: The main objective of the research presented in the article was to gather information on the variety of baked goods that young consumers choose on the market, as well as identification of factors taken into account in the decision process and the eaten quantity. The study group consisted of 300 randomly select students of the three Tri-City universities. Consumer research has shown that young consumers prefer to purchase white, pre-cut bread, not paying much attention to its price. An important factor impacting their decision are the values of flavor, indicating its quality. The young generation shows a conscious attitude in the selection of breads. It may be indicated by the fact that its composition is very important to be checked on the label before they buy bread.
