Declarations and Behaviour of Retailers Concerning Improving Qualifications of Employees

Summary/Abstract: In the article an attempt was made to identify opinions of entrepreneurs operating in Podkarpackie voivodeship about importance of qualifications of employees in retail trade entities as well as real actions aimed at improving competences of the employed. Although about 65% respondents specified education as important factor of employee and almost 75% entrepreneurs declared that improving qualification is at least important, only a half of them gave any kind of support to employees to improve their competences. Entrepreneurs hardly ever have used any other methods of support than traditional ones, such as training and courses.
