Summary/Abstract: The aim of the present article is to identify the links between the notions of process management maturity and project management maturity as well as the possibility of integrating them. This issue is relevant due to the fact that in many organisations these notions occur next to each other. Despite significant differences between processes and projects in the ontological sense, managing them is mutually conditioned. Increasing both process – and project management maturity aims to improve the effectiveness of the organisation’s activities, increase the likelihood for achieving its goals and strengthen its position on the market. This review paper is based on the critical analysis of the existing literature. It interprets the current state of knowledge in the field of process – and project management maturity of an organisation and indicates the possibilities of their integration.
