Summary/Abstract: The direct and indirect consequences and implications of the political crisis on the labor market are very complex. Having this in mind, the impact of the political crisis in the Republic of Macedonia on the labor market is observed in this paper, through the changes in employment and unemployment, the degree of utilization of the working-age population, as well as labor market performance indicators. The results of the analysis show that in the years that coincide with the political crisis in the country (2014-2016), the increase of the number of employees is significantly lower (4.2%) compared to decrease of the unemployment (16.2%). Hence, the relatively higher intensity of unemployment reduction does not correspond to the increase of employment. At the same time, the ranking of the Republic of Macedonia according to the composite indicators for the labor market efficiency and labor market flexibility shows trend of continuous deterioration of its positioning compared to other countries in the world. Therefore, it can be concluded that the political crisis was accompanied by inefficient use of talents, which resulted with inactivity increase (especially of the younger population) and intensification of the emigration abroad.
