Summary/Abstract: In this article the analysis and comparison of one discipline, construction economics, in bachelor programs of civil engineering in different countries is made. The data are collected from universities’ web pages (where it was possible to analyse the modules). The analysis of the volume of the discipline included the number of credits intended for the subject. The situation of studies at Lithuanian universities was compared with studies in Germany, Austria, Australia, Singapore, United Kingdom, Honkong, Canada, USA and Poland. The paper presents some suggestions for the volume and content of construction economics on the ground of other countries’ universities. From the data collected in 28 universities we see that in civil engineering study programs the following groups of subjects (in percent) must be studied: environment – 11,6%; law – 10,3%; company – 5,2%; prices – 24,8%; management – 18,4%; technology – 12,3%; finance – 12,9%; quality – 4,5%.
