Summary/Abstract: The purpose of this study is to analyze the effects of differentiated visual art instruction on the students’ academic success. In this direction, an authentic and differentiated instruction was designed for the 7th grade students concerning the acquisition of “using art equipment and design principles while creating visual art works” in the Designing in Visual Arts learning domain of Visual Art Class. In this manner, the effectiveness of the design was tested by using semi-experimental design including control group with pretest-posttest. The study was conducted with 7th grade students in Alparslan Elementary School in Ağrı. In the study, achievement test which was developed by the researcher and field experts and whose reliability and validity studies had been done, Visual Arts Course was used before and after the study to evaluate the works of the students. The data obtained from the evaluating instruments was analyzed with Mann Whitny-U tests. As a result of the study, when the scores obtained from academic success were controlled, it was found that the scores of the students who got the differentiated visual art instruction were significantly higher than the scores of the students in control group whose curriculum stayed the same.
