Summary/Abstract: The present study analyzes the newest history textbooks for the 5th grade in terms of scientific information, the different types of used sources, the digital materials attached to the published version, the applications proposed in the lesson or in the fiches reviewing, and evaluating the ease of use of the digital format. All this helps us to see how the authors of the textbooks have translated the philosophy of the curriculum into a material that will support the work of the teacher and help students in learning the skills they need to capitalize and interpret historical information. Beyond this didactic perspective, we have brought into discussion the opinions of the authors, of the teachers who have been asked to choose, of the pupils working with them, of the parents who are involved in the process of educating children and the press, who in this case, plays the role of opinion maker.
