The term "инославянский" and its reasonability

Summary/Abstract: The article deals with the use of the term "инославянский" over the period of about the past 10 years in a the professional literature with orientation on methods of teaching Russian as a foreign language. The author points out that the term is ambiguous and ill-defined. Mentioned is also the coincidence of this term with the fully convenient term "славянский" and the fact that an overstressing of инославянский could lead to an undesirable emphasizing of the opposition of the notions Russian–non-Russian but Slavonic.
