Summary/Abstract: In this study the author tries to analyse some social-anthropological aspects of human ecology such as: environmental communication, impact of mass media on different cultural groups, and some models/theories that could affect the social community. According to the author, the Chicago School’ founders developed a body of knowledge that could be considered as a reaction to phenomena of cultural, ethno-psychological and social nature of the time. With its standing towards subcultures, the sociological approach of Chicago School provides a clear message that equal opportunities for all citizens are relevant for an active participation in the decision making process.
