Summary/Abstract: The paper focuses on the possibility of using the employee suggestion system in the city office in Poland, and Dzierżoniów City Office was chosen as the leader in quality management. The research goal was to answer the question whether employees of the Dzierżoniów City Office have the potential to implement the kaizen employee suggestion system. The research was carried out using the questionnaire method. In addition, a in-depth interview was conducted (IDI) with the City Secretary. As a result of the research process, it was stated that the employees of Dzierżoniów City Office on the one hand perceive the benefits of the kaizen system, but on the other hand they show attitudes to some extent contrary to the assumptions of the method. Based on the analysis of the literature and the conducted research, it was found that it is possible to introduce the kaizen system in the local government unit under study, however, it is not possible to apply schemes that work well in enterprises.
