Summary/Abstract: The current survey justifies mentoring and informal social and pedagogical work as a concept and opportunity for practical application and support of at-risk youth. The concept is considered in a methodological aspect, based on the main theoretical notion, defining practical priorities of the non-formal education and mentoring, and finding current application in the socio-pedagogical work. The study follows a specific innovative practice of individual informal social and pedagogical support implemented with children deprived of parental care and analyzes significant changes in their social skills development in the applied mentoring approach.
