Summary/Abstract: The present article is devoted to the newest political neologisms. Most of them can be considered as keywords of the epoch. The author describes the structure and se¬mantics of new words which are used in central positions of media texts. The writer of the article also draws attention to the functions of given neologisms in headlines. The analysed lexemes fulfill not only the referential function but also the predicative one. Their study allows to understand in what way particular current extralinguistic phenomena are conceptualised by users of a language.
