Summary/Abstract: The intense development of viticulture and winemaking has been accompanied over the centuries by the introduction of various equipment for the processing of grapes and winemaking technologies, thus generating stable forms of construction known as wineries, which have evolved over time. The historiography highlights the presence of wine-making constructions, which mark the tradition of architecture related to the practice of the old occupation, as well as the professional stylistic architecture attributed to the wineries from the nineteenth century. The architecture of wineries in the second half of the twentieth century, represented by the Soviet winemaking enterprises, is discussed only in the context of industrial architecture in general, characterized by a socialist realism focused on standardization, typification and use of prefabricated structural elements. The scientific approach taken the research in the field of innovative architecture of contemporary wineries is based on the publications of architects and art and architecture historians from abroad, regarding related to current transformations and determining them as a global phenomenon corresponding to a next stage of transition. The treatment of the topic of integration of local wineries in this process is supported by the architectural projects carried out and the recently published works, which analyze the main directions of development of the winemaking complexes of the Republic of Moldova under the influence of the social innovation.
