Summary/Abstract: Entrepreneurial orientation (EO) is a widely accepted concept that is used to measure the level of entrepreneurship in organisations. However, it is not often employed towards microenterprises, despite they also need to manage the entrepreneurship across a firm. In the paper, we assume that EO may be useful in microenterprises, and we propose an adaptation of EO to the specific requirements of microenterprises. The modifications of some items from previously proposed scales are presented in the paper, as well as some additional items are suggested. Newly introduced items reflect the role of imitative innovations in microenterprises, their ability to change radically the scope of their business or to customize their offer, the role of the enterprise’s strategy, attitude towards other organizations (including competitors and willingness to cooperate with them), the level of liabilities and the autonomy of the microenterprises’ owners. As a result, the new EO scale dedicated to microenterprises was developed and presented in the paper.
