Summary/Abstract: The article combines the topics of strategic choice, development strategy, path dependence, as well as creativity. Creativity is assumed to be the key factor in reducing developmental stagnation and inertia in companies. There is a cognitive gap in the area, stemming from the fact that research investigations are limited to the attitudes and the behavior of the employees. The article constitutes a theoretical analysis.
