Summary/Abstract: Occupational burnout is characterized by experiencing fatigue, emotional exhaustion, bad mental and physical well-being and feelings of failure and disappointment in the area of professional activity. The aim of the study was to identify factors conditioning the occupational burnout and to determine the severity of individual symptoms among nurses employed within the admission centers of selected medical facilities in the Lodz region. The study was conducted between March and April 2017 among 80 nurses employed at the admission centers of selected medical facilities in the Lodz region. An anonymous questionnaire was used to collect the empirical material. The questionnaire included questions about experiencing the symptoms of occupational burnout, in terpersonal relations with colleagues and supervisors, and assessing work-related burdens. The analysis of the collected empirical material showed that the majority of respondents had symptoms suggestive of occupational burnout. The most common include physical exhaustion, depressed mood and frustration.
