Summary/Abstract: The main objective of the study was to identify the necessary changes in human resources management in enterprises seen by their employees. The author intended also to verify the potential correlation between the responses and gender, age and position of an employee. A quantitative-qualitative research was held based on a questionnaire filled in by 342 employees of Lower Silesian enterprises. They indicated that many changes were currently needed in human resources management, e.g. the implementation of more efficient motivation systems and measures enhancing employee commitment, regular verification of employee satisfaction, evaluation of management staff by employees and awarding the best people, efficient communication to employees concerning their responsibilities and respective requirements, greater involvement of management staff in creating good atmosphere at the workplace, linking the remuneration with working outcomes and enhancing communication with employees. A chi-square test showed multiple differences in responses, especially between younger and elder employees.
