Summary/Abstract: The aim of the thesis was to study the physical activity of female inhabitants of Radom, aged 18‒65. The research material was made up by 120 women, including: 30 women aged 18‒30, 30 women aged 31‒40, 30 women aged 41‒50 and 30 women aged over 50 years, all inhabiting the city of Radom. The research method used in the thesis was a survey questionnaire. The evaluation assessed indices characterizing somatic characteristics (body height, body weight, Body Mass Index [BMI]). The obtained results indicate a significant increase with age in body weight and Body Mass Index of women who took part in the study. Based on the research conducted, it should be noted that among 120 women who took part in the study, 85 of them engage in physical activity, while 35 do not engage in physical activity at all. The greatest physical activity can be observed in the youngest age group, while the smallest one – in the oldest age group. The analysis of the research showed differences in the preferred forms of physical activity, incentives for physical activity and reasons behind the lack of the activity of the particular age groups.
