Summary/Abstract: The history of the journal Biblioteka (Library) points to the development and professional progress of the library community in Bulgaria. This paper presents the history of the journal, the topics that this periodical publication deals with and the specific approach when writing papers. Despite many challenges, the journal has remained a leader in the fields of library and information science, and the history of book and script in Bulgaria.
