Montenegro in the Scientific Work of Academician Milorad Ekmečić

Summary/Abstract: The paper contains an overview of the most important works of Milorad Ekmečić, with a special emphasis on the works devoted to the history of Montenegro. It also contains a number of remembrances and testimonies about the decades-long cooperation and friend ship between the author and Milorad Ekmečić. In the author’s opinion, the work of Milorad Ekmečić outgrows the bounds of Serbian, Yugoslav and Balkan historical science.
