Summary/Abstract: The subject of the paper is the content, authors and the importance of the journal Zapisi (1927-1933; 1935-1941) and Istorijski zapisi (from 1948 to the present) for science and culture in Montenegro and abroad. In this paper, we will try to analyze the themes and ways of presentation, the number of authors, types of contributions, present the scientific and cultural significance of the journal.
