Directions of capital flows to developing countries in the period 2009–2016

Summary/Abstract: The aim of the article is to identify changes in financial account of balance of payments of developing countries in 2008–2016. After global financial crisis financial account surplus changed into a deficit. It was caused by decline of foreign reserves accumulation by developing countries. In relation to other transactions of financial account a slowdown in net capital inflows was recorded. The research results show that recent slowdown of capital flows to developing countries resulted from smaller inflows and bigger outflows of capital from developing countries.
