THE PREVENTIVE RESEARCHES FROM PIETROSU-COSTEŞTI – LA ARMAN, CAMPAIGN OF 2013

Summary/Abstract: The launch of an investment project in the region of Costeşti and Pietrosu villages during 2013 required new preventive archaeological researches to be carried out in the area of Pietrosu – La Arman site. In this campaign, two dwellings were discovered, one attributed to the Sântana de Mureş culture (4th century AD), noted L. 1, and the other dated to the late medieval period (L. 2). Several pits were also found and attributed to the already mentioned periods but also to the eneolithic (Boian culture). The most interesting discovery is represented by two graves found in the area of the site and dated to the Middle Bronze Age period (Tei culture).
