Summary/Abstract: The article presents the concept of using the business process approach to analyze the operation of an intelligent organization. The main trends in the development of IT systems supporting the business process management are described. Basic assumptions of the iBPM concept (intelligent Business Process Management) are presented. The idea of extending this concept to the concept of cBPM (cognitive Business Process Management) based on measuring the level of knowledge and the intensity of cognitive processes is discussed. The modification of the cBPM concept consisting in measuring the intensity of intelligence based on level of knowledge, cognitive abilities and creativity is proposed. This indicator is based on the analysis of the subject literature.
