Summary/Abstract: The main objective of the research was to identify the level of motivation among employees of enterprises based on motivation systems in place at the enterprises and on job assessment. Qualitative and quantitative research was held with the questionnaire filled in by 349 people employed based on labour agreements at Lower Silesian enterprises. The respondents’ assessment of their remuneration fell at a medium level. A significant, weak and positive correlation was revealed between education and dependence of a part of remuneration on work outcomes. There was a significant, weak and positive correlation with support of employees’ participation in decision making, while education correlated positively with employee development through training. The respondents offered a medium assessment of their jobs and the assessment correlated weakly and positively with employee education. The observed level of motivation in the studied group was higher than average.
