Summary/Abstract: Denis Diderot left, in French literature, a work rich in quantity, but especially in ideas. We stopped on the novel "The Nun", who suggests another status of the woman that of the nun locked in spite of her to the convent, grateful giving up the innocent games of the childhood, the first sighs of love, without any possibility of having a happy marriage, a family and children, as the normal and natural order of the life. Consequently, we propose analyses of the feminine psychology (from the simple nuns up to the Mother Superior), because it is interesting to observe how the lack of freedom and social life puts the imprint on the clear judgment of the individual, and especially on the feminine consciousness in certain situations.
