Summary/Abstract: The aim of the submitted contribution is to present references to important Hungarian saints in preserved notorious manuscripts of the territory of Slovakia and to point out their specific cult in the domestic liturgical tradition. In the Slovak Archival Collections, there are today only 17 musical sources from the Middle Ages. The following overview of the presence of saints in their context was focused only on accessible manuscripts. At the same time, we have narrowed the selection of saints, taking into account their frequencies in the respective sources. As a result of these criteria, the author focused on two Hungarian kings – St. Štefan and St. Ladislav, the royal prince St. Imrich, as well as on St. Elizabeth of Thuringia and finally on two Slovak hermits – St. Andrej-Svorad and Benedict.
