Department of Music at the Faculty of Education of the Catholic University in Ružomberok: Beginnings, Trends and Successes of the Department of Music as an Added Value to the 20th Annniversary of the Founding of KU

Summary/Abstract: The beginnings of university music education in Ružomberok date back to 1996. The purpose of the following description is not to compile a detailed summary of all events and changes related to the entire period of the Department of Music in Ružomberok, but to clarify the most important milestones in terms of development of the workplace, including its professional development, and important workers. Hence, the aim of this paper is to point out the most important scientific, publishing, artistic and organizational accomplishments of this department, which over the years has gained the status of a workplace that responsibly and successfully represents the faculty and university at home and abroad.
