Summary/Abstract: Te frst decade of the 21st century was marked by rising terrorist activity. Te scourge of terrorism is on the rise, threatening the global stability and security. Te work will present diverse anti-terrorism measures and their importance in fghting terrorism, as well as the problems of their implementation in practice. Excessive responses to acts of terrorism can obviously undermine human and individual freedom. Such acts can take many forms, which require diferent levels of response. Te fght against terrorism, therefore, may include a comprehensive or a selective approach and a fexible strategy, which includes identifcation programmes to prevent terrorist attacks, disrupt and destroy terrorist organizations; responses to terrorist incidents; and coordinated eforts to minimize damage, terminate terrorist attacks, and bring terrorists to justice. State responses should include specifc measures designed to deter or prevent terrorist attacks and to limit the damage from the efects of terrorist incidents.
