Rare and Valuable Editions in the Library of the National Academy of Music “Professor Pancho Vladigerov”

Summary/Abstract: Book collection in the library at the NAM “Professor Pancho Vladigerov” is an indivisible, important and valuable part of the national library fund. This article presents some of the more valuable music-theoretic books devoted to harmony and music theory by authors that are composers, conductors, music theoreticians and pedagogues. Classification criteria are described in the text, defining these publications as rare and valuable, having a high scientific and cognitive, artistic and historical value – first editions, published in the 19th and the beginning of the 20th centuries, some of them signed by important music figures.
