Challenges in Managing Employees in Multicultural Environment

Summary/Abstract: This article addresses topics related to challenges in managing employees in a multicultural environment and related opportunities and threats. In managing multicultural teams are needed proper attitude and behavior of the manager to the representatives of different cultures, taking into account the daily work of cultural differences and to share knowledge and experiences. Building interactions between different cultures leads to a more efficient functioning of the company and efficient satisfaction of the needs of international clients. In the first part of the article attention was paid to the concept of multiculturalism and the features characterizing multicultural organization. The next section describes the types and levels of multiculturalism of the organization. Further chapter indicated the role of managers in the management of multicultural teams and identified the challenges related to this.
