Summary/Abstract: Advances in technical and technological areas rapidly change the place and direction of population density, life style and working areas. The process of change starting with the industrial revolution continues with globalization. Life moves from the countryside to the city and needs rapid construction. With the change of business areas and the differentiation of people's income, comfort expectations increase and more of the services offered by existing structures are targeted. In addition to the mechanization and automation, the applicability of mass production applications in the construction sector provides more construction and production opportunities in less time. The construction sector is transforming itself into a risky area due to occupational accidents due to various reasons. In the primitive and traditional period, simple constructions and manual labor began to take place with the construction of large-span, high, huge structures and technology. The working conditions and the safety conditions change with changing conditions. In this study, the status of construction sector in terms of occupational safety will be evaluated by evaluating statistical information and the major factors that may cause accidents in construction sector will be discussed.
