Summary/Abstract: RESEARCH OBJECTIVE: The aim of the article is to present and evaluate professional skills in the field of international trade of students at Cracow University of Economics. THE REASEARCH PROBLEM AND METHODS: The main problem presented in the article is professional skills in the field of international trade in relation to the acquired knowledge and labour market conditions. The literature studies, with elements of the critical analysis, a descriptive case study (qualitative analysis), elements of the quantitative analysis (simple statistic indicators) were used. THE PROCESS OF ARGUMENTATION: In the theoretical part, on the basis of literature studies, conclusions concerning professional skills were formulated and a review of research in this area was carried out. The empirical part is based on the analysis of foreign trade specialisation in the scope of achieved educational results and shaping professional skills. RESEARCH RESULTS: The literature does not yet provide a clear definition of professional skills, taking into account all the most important features of the presented category. The curriculum enables students to achieve educational effects and acquire professional skills in the field of international trade, allowing them to find an attractive job on the market. CONCLUSIONS, INNOVATIONS, AND RECOMMENDATIONS: Analyses of the identification of needs in the field of professional skills desired on the labour market may significantly contribute to the acquisition of an attractive
