Summary/Abstract: The importance of clinical trials rules for numerous stakeholders cannot be underestimated. EU member states governments, third countries (USA), pharmaceutical companies, patients’ rights organizations, consumer organizations, patients are all directly affected by the rules and would benefit from a clearer system that protects the rights of consumers, while at the same time encourages the business to foster innovation and encourages development of new medicines, including in vulnerable segments like rare diseases pharmaceuticals.
