Summary/Abstract: Domestic violence is a serious violation of fundamental human rights. That is why this problem has been engaging the world public for many years. In Europe, the problem of victims of domestic violence is widely discussed. On 25 November 2005, the Standing Committee of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE) endorsed the European campaign against violence against women, to be launched by the Council of Europe in 2006-2007.
